The new public consultation reveals a resort designed around a central lake and car-free village, with a variety of accommodation including A-frame cabins, lakeside lodges and unusual earth-covered Burrowed Lodges.

According to the park’s latest plans, the development would provide 129 accommodation units for just under 600 guests, alongside a restaurant and bar, shop, entertainment facilities, children’s play areas and a dedicated entrance directly into Paultons Park.

The proposals represent a further step in Paultons’ ambition to become a multi-day holiday destination, following major investments including Ghostly Manor and Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, with Serpent’s Curse set to open in 2027.

Environmental considerations feature prominently, with the park proposing extensive native planting, woodland protection measures and more than 100% biodiversity net gain.

However, the holiday village remains at the consultation stage. Planning permission has not yet been granted, and the park has indicated that construction and completion remain several years away.

Members of the public can review the plans and submit feedback through the official consultation website until 25th October 2026.

The TT Take

Paultons Park has been steadily transforming itself into one of the UK’s most interesting family theme parks, and these proposals suggest the ambition doesn’t stop at the park gates.

We particularly like the idea of accommodation that feels like a destination in its own right, rather than simply somewhere to sleep after a day on the rides.

Of course, the finished experience, pricing and evening entertainment will ultimately determine whether it’s worth turning a day trip into a short break. Protecting the surrounding landscape will be equally important.

But on paper? Another exciting step forward for a park that certainly isn’t standing still.
