Thorpe Park Fright Nights bus offers just 56 places

Just 56 passengers could experience the new Thorpe Park Fright Nights bus on Saturday 3 October. The announced schedule allows for four departures carrying 14 people each, making Nova Lux Express a strictly limited addition to the event’s 25th anniversary.

The near-blackout journey from Staines Railway Station extends the story of Tenement, this year’s new scare maze. Passengers become electricians travelling to Nova Lux Senior Living, an abandoned care home with persistent power problems. Their predecessors have already lost contact with the outside world.

Departures run at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm, with spaces allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests must show proof of both Fright Nights admission and a Tenement maze ticket. Having those tickets makes visitors eligible to queue for the bus; it does not reserve a seat.

Inside Tenement itself, groups navigate using a shared handheld light that gradually fails. The maze joins returning attractions Trailers, Stitches, Survival Games and DeadBeat, alongside scare zones, shows and rides after dark. Fright Nights runs on selected dates from 2nd October to 1st November, while the bus is scheduled for 3rd October only.

The TT Take:

A clever way to start the story, provided you’re one of the very few who can get a seat. We rate Fright Nights as probably the UK’s strongest theme park Halloween event, but four small departures make this feel more like a publicity stunt than a meaningful expansion of the experience. Fright Nights already gives people plenty of reasons to book. This feels more like a reason to write a headline.
