Disney ticket prices rise, but cheapest entry stays put

3 min read

Disney ticket prices are rising again, but the changes announced on 6 October spare the cheapest admission at both US resorts. Disneyland’s starting price remains $104, while Walt Disney World retains its $119 minimum for selected Animal Kingdom dates. Other tickets and premium extras are increasing.

At Disneyland in California, four middle-priced adult single-day ticket tiers have each risen by $5: $129 becomes $134, $149 becomes $154, $169 becomes $174 and $184 becomes $189. That means increases of approximately 2.7%–3.9%, while the two highest tiers remain $199 and $224.

The availability of cheaper dates matters too. Disney Tourist Blog’s calendar analysis counts 56 Disneyland dates at $104 in 2026, compared with 36 in 2025. However, there are no $104 dates in July or August 2026; August 2025 had seven. More cheap tickets across the year does not necessarily mean more choice during a family’s school holidays.

Florida’s peak prices tell a different story. Magic Kingdom’s highest single-day price reaches $229 before tax for Christmas 2027, compared with $209 in 2026—a 9.6% increase. For four guests paying adult prices, that is another $80 before tax. Meanwhile, Walt Disney World’s premium Lightning Lane Premier Pass ceiling rises by $50 to $499.

What about visitors booking from the UK?

UK travellers can buy different products. Disney currently advertises its 14-Day Magic Ticket from £535.56 per adult for 2027, with the lowest advertised dates covering 1 August–7 September. It includes park hopping, water park admission and Memory Maker, with 14 days of theme park entry available within an 18-day window.

Some equivalent autumn and Christmas tickets are nevertheless more expensive next year. UK retailer Theme Park Direct lists these adult prices:

Ticket start dates20262027Change
7 October–3 November£580.27£623.26+7.4%
4 November–11 December£621.95£659.73+6.1%
12–24 December£676.21£701.01+3.7%

Advertised ticket-only prices checked on 7 October 2026. These compare the same retailer and product; they do not establish when the increases took effect.

Disney hotel packages add another variable. Selected 2027 UK bookings include free dining and drinks and £100–£200 savings when booked by 4 November 2026, subject to hotel, stay-length and arrival-date restrictions. Those inclusions mean the US single-day increase cannot simply be applied to a UK package holiday.

The TT Take:

Protecting the cheapest way through the gates is welcome, even if Disney remains exceptionally good at finding things to charge you for once you’re inside. Keeping an entry-level option while charging more for premium extras is a reasonable compromise, but the increases on ordinary tickets show that this is not solely about optional luxuries. For families tied to particular dates—and UK visitors comparing hotel packages—the meaningful number is the cost of the holiday they can actually book.
