Europa-Park’s new attractions for 2027 will bring two new family rides and a refreshed favourite to its Portuguese, Icelandic and Italian themed areas. The additions expand the choice for families across three existing parts of the park.

The standout is a Wild Swing XL from ART Engineering, which will send riders swinging 14 metres above the Portuguese lake. Its theming will draw on the Portuguese coast and a story of invention, giving the new flat ride a setting beyond the machinery itself. In Iceland, an interactive tower between WODAN and blue fire will let guests control their ride while taking in panoramic views across the themed area.

Meanwhile, Enzo’s Piccolo Mondo will receive a refurbishment. The gondola ride has entertained younger visitors for more than 40 years, and its refreshed journey will celebrate Italian art, theatre and music. These are the first additions announced for 2027; exact opening dates for the two new rides have not yet been confirmed.
The TT Take:
Paultons’ Wild Swing already had us sold on the ride sensation. Adding “XL” and putting it over a lake has certainly got our attention. A family mini-break needs variety, and a well-themed flat ride can earn its place just as convincingly as another roller coaster. These look like welcome extras to an already compelling park, with investment in both new experiences and an established family favourite giving us plenty to celebrate.
