Orlando hits record 76.7 million visitors in 2025
Visit Orlando has confirmed the destination’s highest visitation total on record, narrowly beating 2024 on the back of stronger domestic travel.
Visit Orlando has announced that the destination welcomed 76.7 million visitors in 2025, a 1.8% increase on 2024 and the highest annual total in its history. Domestic visitation drove the gains, rising 2.2% to a record 70.3 million, with Florida residents up 3.4%. Overnight stays accounted for 70% of domestic visitors, or 49.2 million travellers.
The figure cements Orlando’s position as the most visited destination in the United States and points to continued momentum behind theme park investment. Epic Universe opened at Universal Orlando Resort in 2025 — the first major new theme park gate in Florida in over two decades — and the timing of the record total raises the obvious question of how much of the uplift it delivered. The previous Orlando peak came in 2019, before the pandemic reset the industry.

International visitation tells a less straightforward story. The category was down 2.4% to 6.3 million, with Canada — Orlando’s largest international market — falling 13.3%. Group meetings rose 3.1% to 5.8 million visitors, reinforcing Orlando’s standing as the country’s leading convention destination.
The TT Take: A record year for Orlando is also a record year for the case that big investment still pays. Epic Universe’s debut and another all-time visitation high in the same year is not a coincidence — it’s the strongest signal in years that the theme park capital still rewards ambition at scale. For visitors, the upside is more investment to come; the trade-off is parks that will keep getting busier before they get quieter.
